Will give you the following information as to the interview from 1971, on the Dick Cavett Show, in the event you did not receive/or read the e-mail -

Subject:
A lengthy article with actual facts and links to check out ! !
To read "all about it" following are the procedures
Thanks to Dee "Z" I caught a re-run of the John O'Neil vs. John Kerry (on C-span) in the June 1971 interview on the Dick Cavett show, Sunday night 3 28 2004.

I did a google search for Viet Nam Veterans For Peace and found -Sixties Project: bibliography of the sixties and the Viet Nam war and found the article - "Vietnam Veterans Against the War Statement by John Kerry to the Senate Committee of Foreign Relations April 23, 1971. (I enclosed that statement in the previous e-mail). Also - did a google search for Dick Cavett Show June 1971. When on that website, go to the results 11 through 20 for starters. Great pictures and articles from the Boston Globe. A Candidate in the making etc.

You will note "More results from the Boston Globe - it will take you to Dick Cavett Show June 1971. If you want to read about the interview on the Dick Cavett show, you will find it at "With Antiwar role, high visibility" You will see in that article information on John O'Neil now, directly from that page. **O'Neill for years has declined to talk about the experience, partly because he says he became disillusioned with politics and government after the fall of Saigon in 1975. But in a telephone interview from Texas, where he is a trial attorney, O'Neill made it clear he still harbors resentment at the way Kerry accused veterans of atrocities.

"The primary reason I got involved was I thought the charges of war crimes were irresponsible and wrong," O'Neill said. "I thought they did a real disservice to all the people that were there. I thought they were immoral." The bitterness remains. Asked whether he agrees with the view of some observers that Kerry was forever altered by the war, O'Neill responded: "The war didn't change [Kerry]. I think he was a guy driven tremendously by ambition. I think he was that way before he went and is that way today." end of the quotes from O'Neill ~~~

***So, that is the answer to who John O'Neil is today ! !***
When on the Boston Globe page, you will also see a timeline of events, 1971. It shows the dates and activities of Kerry for a long period of time. All of these things are actual facts.

When on the Boston Globe, you will see many articles on the right side of the page, about Kerry - that is if you are interested. If not, just delete this entire e-mail ! ! "Freedom of Choice you know"

One last note about the interview from 1971 - Kerry had a very thick "Boston" accent in that interview.
Previous articles mention he was trying to emulate President John F. Kennedy. Also alluded to the fact that his initials were the same, and that he joined the Navy (as President Kennedy had) etc.

So, if you are interested in this sort of thing, you will have gone to all the links I mentioned. If you are not, you probably never gotten this far in this message.
Be sure to pass this information along to your e-mail buddies (if you are still reading this) that may also be interested.

I say thanks and God Bless you John E. O'Neill.
A copy of this e-mail is being sent to him as well as each of you. You will note only my e-mail address and your own, since I Bcc: all my e-mails.
