Is there apathy in America?

The course of this nation is guided by certain people. Some are behind the screen, some are in front. Some watch the show and sigh while saying-"nothing can be done" or, worse, "the Lord has it under control." I find both of these position sick when compared to all those who gave their lives to protect this country. I would like you to tell me about 'Apathy in America'. The best respondents will be featured in my magazine. I believe that Apathy is killing America. What are your thoughts?
In closing I see the nation being divided in to a number of camps. One camp does not care about anything or anyone- all they care about is themselves. Another group believes that politicians can fix the problem. Still another group believes that the 'shadow government' is to blame and nothing can be done. And, lastly, there are those of us who are continually pulling the pants down on 'Big Brother' in order to expose his 'Uncle Sam'... SOME Christians believe that they don't have to do anything, while others believe that it is our duty to defend all that God has given us, to stand guard over and/or defense thereof. How can we shine the light on the destructiveness of Apathy in America?
