I do not support the "pledge" in any way, with or without the words "under God"!! It was written by Francis Bellamy, a Communist! http://history.vineyard.net/pledge.htm 

The following are from Websters New World Dictionary:

pledge 5. a promise or agreement

allegiance 1. the obligation of support and loyalty to one's ruler, government, or country 2. loyalty or devotion, as to a cause, person, etc.

flag 1. a piece of cloth with colors, patterns, or devices, used as a national or state symbol or as a signal; banner, standard

United States of America country made of the N. American area extending from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean between Canada and Mexico, together with Alaska and Hawaii.

republic 1. a nation in which the supreme power rests in all the citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives elected by them 2. the government of such a state 3. a nation with a president as its head

I can not find any reference to any of the above in my CONstitution, especially the term "citizen".

This "country" is not a "Nation", it is composed of fifty nations, NOT including the "ten mile square "District" known as the "seat of government.
