This story - which apparently nobody is supposed to know about - concerns the US and thousands of Federal Trials which are kept secret, published yesterday by the Associated Press propaganda service - maybe by mistake too, confirming the depths to which the US (and global) legal system has sunk.

FPF-Europe - March 6 - 2006 - The following story by Associated Press seems to be so important that the main Web/Internet search machines - like Google and Yahoo - don't want to touch it. Not even their robot/spider sweeps turn up one singe item when searched under it's title: "Thousands of Federal Trials Kept Secret" + AP" - There's NO 'Web results' or 'News" to be found. And who knows how to check via sentences?

BUSH, BLAIR AND THE PNAC SEEK TO PROTECT THEIR POSITION BY SECRET TRIALS

The malignant effect of the PNAC Group in the US and all other countries is clearly visible for the people suffering already for ages under their ordeal. As is the case at the PNAC base in England too, where Blair and his gang do as they are told: " And as Tony Blair's ideology of War on Terror is becoming more and more discredited, Tony Blair seeks to protect his position by secret trials, just as all the ideological Great National Leaders have always done.

And like described by AP concerning all secret US trials: "Once secret trials are part of the British Legal System, Tony Blair will be able to proclaim anybody a "terror suspect", or a "terrorist sympathizer" or a "terror justifier", and then the secret courts will give their verdicts and nobody will know how and why these verdicts were arrived at. But announcements will be made that a "terrorist" has been found guilty of whatever crime Tony Blair will want him to be found guilty of. THE STORY PUBLISHED YESTERDAY BY AP

The story published yesterday by AP - and which after some publications most probably will reappear on the search machines - is the following: "Despite the Sixth Amendment's guarantee of public trials, nearly all records are being kept secret for more than 5,000 defendants who completed their journey through the federal courts over the last three years. Instances of such secrecy more than doubled from 2003 to 2005.

An Associated Press investigation found, and court observers agree, that most of these defendants are cooperating government witnesses, but the secrecy surrounding their records prevents the public from knowing details of their plea bargains with the government.

Most of these defendants are involved in drug gangs, though lately a very small number come from terrorism cases. Some of these cooperating witnesses are among the most unsavory characters in America's courts — multiple murderers and drug dealers — but the public cannot learn whether their testimony against confederates won them drastically reduced prison sentences or even freedom.

THE USE OF SECRET DOCKETS

In the nation's capital, which has had a serious problem with drug gangs murdering government witnesses, the secrecy has reached another level — the use of secret dockets. [FPF: list of cases on a court's calendar, or schedule] - For hundreds of such defendants over the past few years in this city, should someone acquire the actual case number for them and enter it in the U.S. District Court's computerized record system, the computer will falsely reply, "no such case" — rather than acknowledging that it is a sealed case.

At the request of the AP, the Administrative Office of U.S. Courts conducted its first tally of secrecy in federal criminal cases. The nationwide data it provided the AP showed 5,116 defendants whose cases were completed in 2003, 2004 and 2005, but the bulk of their records remain secret.

"The constitutional presumption is for openness in the courts, but we have to ask whether we are really honoring that," said Laurie Levenson, a former federal prosecutor and now law professor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. "What are the reasons for so many cases remaining under seal?"

THE COURTS' ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE AND THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT DECLINED TO COMMENT ON THE NUMBERS.
