APFN started out during the Waco siege as the American Patriot Fax Network. It was a voluntary and spontaneous response to the Washington/Justice? Dept. total news blackout (other than the "official party line") that was being spewed out by the "ministry of truth" major media. Many of us KNEW instinctively that this was a raw, open, violent demonstration of naked tyranny - right here on American soil - designed to send the message - "Obey or we will kill you!" to all Americans - right into their living rooms in vivid color - and to test the limits of the American people a-la Frederick Douglass to find out if there was anything that Americans wouldn't swallow, given the right spin.

The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.
--- Frederick Douglass.

I believe what they (government) condluded was that there isn't ANYTHING that they can't get away with as long as they control the major media "spin machine".

I can't think of the name of the guy who started it off the top of my head, but he's still in charge I believe.

Anyway, it was a whole gang of people with fax machines who were relaying stuff (like in a telephone tree) that APFN was getting in, by phone and fax, from people on the ground very near the action during the Waco siege. It was like an instant underground network springing up overnight to get out the truth about what was really going on at Waco. (I'm sure I still have a very thick folder of faxes that came in from APFN during that whole gruesome and depraved intentional massacre spectacle in my files somewhere.)

Once started, the network never died, and eventually morphed (with the spread of affordable home PCs and the internet) into what it is today. It relies entirely upon voluntary donations to keep going to the best of my knowledge.

I have always been on their email mailing list until I had my most recent email address change. I just haven't gotten around to re-subscribing yet, and I have trouble keeping up with the email I get as it is.

Some of their posts are excellent, but some are less than worthless. It is a pretty ragged mix on the quality scale. But I'm glad he's still out there plugging away. His archives are staggering - probably contains all of the original faxes all the way back to the ones that went out during the Waco massacre - and the broad scope of issues covered (all relating in some way to the rise of tyranny in America) is also immense.

I'm non-plussed that you had never run into them before.

It is my firm belief that Waco, OKC (the Murrah bldg explosion), and Ruby Ridge, the invasion of Panama, were just "test runs" to find out how effective their spin machine was - to prepare the way for, and leading up to, 911 and the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq. I believe that they were all planned tests to find out just how much depravity and criminality the American people would be willing to swallow to avoid seeing what their government was becoming, orchestrated by the "invisible government" that really controls both major parties.

"Most people prefer to believe their leaders are just and fair even in the face of evidence to the contrary, because once a citizen acknowledges that the government under which they live is lying and corrupt, the citizen has to choose what he or she will do about it. To take action in the face of a corrupt government entails risks of harm to life and loved ones. To choose to do nothing is to surrender one's self-image of standing for principles. Most people do not have the courage to face that choice. Hence, most propaganda is not designed to fool the critical thinker but only to give moral cowards an excuse not to think at all."

Until a few minutes ago, I'd never heard of American Patriot Friends Network (APFN). Are you familiar with this outfit?

The note below just arrived from our friend, Cal. So I just took a brief look at their website. It starts with "The American's Creed" (with which I can agree about 83%) & the site also features ,
which looks to be the most complete collection of links to Waco information I've ever seen ... in case any of your friends care about that unfortunate part of American history.

"I believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people by the people, for the people, whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a Republic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect Union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.

I therefore believe it is my duty to my Country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws; to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies."

Here's the email we just received:

Thanks APFN. I sometimes wonder whether WACO will be the "final test" of the resolve of the American people to oppose an "out of control" government. If it was, then our Republic is doomed to go the way of all of the other "civilizations".
