Can this be a test?

In my humble, and I emphasize humble, opinion, I believe this to be a test: A test to determine how naïve and disconnected the public has become. We have become a nation divided...Republicans vs. Democrats. People from opposing parties are so busy degrading each other that we have lost sight of the true enemy. We have aligned ourselves so strongly with a political ideology that we can no longer think rationally.

What exactly is this test? How can approximately 50% of the people love Bush when he clearly has demonstrated a high level of incompetence? How can 50% of the population love Clinton when he unmistakably disgraced the office of the Presidency? Easy...because people no longer can see past their party.

Those in power should feel fairly confident that the populace has been thoroughly brainwashed, that the power elite can do just about anything, and that we are too busy fighting each other to really notice.
