Current Events Have Surpassed 'The Prisoner'

Anonymous

Current events bear an uncanny resemblance to the 1960s plot of The Prisoner starring Patrick McGoohan.

What a difference thirty years made in my reaction to this series. When it first aired, I purposed to decipher hidden themes as one might in a novel. Today, a DVD screening resulted in...pure laughter! The parallels with today are so obvious as to attain comedy.

Everything's there: rigged, meaningless elections, group consensus, fake Village news, pervasive surveillance, mind control, command orders telexed from shadowy off-shore power pyramids, false-flag dissident stings, evil medical procedures, star-chamber pseudo-justice based on "the rules," secret elite control bunkers. And yet the daily proclamation is to be happy and "mutual" in a crayon-colored paradise.

Compare with today: votescam computers, deliberate dumbing-down through consensus education and purpose-driven consensus religion, Big Media promulgation of the 9-11 conspiracy theory, real-time surveillance and TIPS, MK-ULTRA, world banksters (the power pyramid), FBI/CIA/MI5 penetration (control?) of
social movements, unaccountable vaccinations laced with mercury and AIDS, fake extra-legal categories running the gamut from "person of interest" to "terror suspect"
to "enemy combatant," and of course, secret bunkers. And yet the economy is ever rebounding!

What would Number 6 think? McGoohan might wisecrack that at least the Village did not deploy RFID in his apartment or chemtrails in the sky above it. Truth has
outstripped caricature in absurdity.

Watching the series again brought some much-needed comic relief into our lives and new perspective on the clowns running today's world. We share a refreshed vigor to track down Number 1 and hurl him into space.

Thank you, Patrick McGoohan.

Be seeing you.
