Airport Security Angels

We are all forgetful about placing pocket knives,
scissors, etc., in checked luggage, only to have the
screeners trash these forbidden items when they are
discovered in pockets or purses.
Little Rock Angels is a volunteer organization at
Little Rock Airport with about 25 people, mostly of
retirement age, who give kind advice and comfort to
those who encounter the screening experience. They are
not on duty full time, but they do have several drop
boxes in the terminal with envelopes and information.
Anyone who finds himself with a forbidden article just
before entering the screening area can enter his name
and address on an information sheet and insert it and
the article in an envelope with a fee of from $3 to
$5, depending on the weight of the article, and drop
it in the box. The Angels then mail it to the address
provided. It seems to be a very successful and needed
idea.

Airport Angels Squadron
The Airport Angels Squadron is made up of volunteers
who give of their time to make the airport experience
more pleasant for our customers. Squadron members are
decked out in bright red vests with large "Ask Me"
buttons on and are stationed throughout the terminal.
If you need information regarding the airport or about
our city and state, please feel free to contact one of
our helpful, friendly volunteers.
