Newly Released Documents Indicate that as Texas Governor, Bush Helped Promote Enron's Business Interests
AUSTIN, Texas - Documents obtained by Public Citizen on Friday suggest that as governor of Texas, President Bush helped promote Enron Corp.'s forei gn and domestic business agenda on behalf of company CEO Kenneth Lay.
The documents were among 350 pages of Bush records released by Bush's father's presidential library, where Bush sent them, after a request by Public Citizen under the state's open records law.

In this post, you will read the most damning evidence I have found to date that the war in Afghanistan may indeed be another war for oil. No wonder Enron was shredding documents and Cheney stonewalling about supplying court ordered documents on his energy task force -- nor Dubya issuing his executive order sealing presidential documents. We have seen only the tip of the Enron iceberg. Establishment media is really fumbling the ball on this issue. There are several lawsuits bearing fruit on access to task force documents, including one by the Government Accounting Office. Time will tell if the truth will finally come out.
A federal court ordered the Bush administration's Energy Department to turn over 7,500 pages of documents related to Vice President Cheney's energy task force, a decision that would make public for the first time detailed information about the influence of industry executives and others over the administration's energy policy.
