Cancer, Canada, and The Drug Companies

My 78 yr. old Mother has cancer she needs to take Thalidamide the birth defect drug of the 60's to make her well. The company says she does not qualify for assistance. She will have to sell her house and move to Canada and we don't know if there will be a problem there because the drug is strictly guarded. I hope everyone rallies around the candidate that will help Americans, I don't know if it's Dean, but since he's a doctor and the others are seasoned congressmen voting for war (except Kucinich I know he can't win) we have to make certain that the guy that's sitting in the oval office does not care about Americans unless they are wealthy. What is happening to this country when seniors or others who need medical assistance can't get help? Take the wealthy off medicare and give it back to seniors in the form of free prescriptions for those who would prefer to keep their home.
