European Union attacks Junk Food

FPF - 20-01-2005 - One of the FPF-correspondents in France' (of course! the fries!) reports today about an item* on the BBC News: 'EU takes aim at junk food adverts'.

And in connection we got some more items for all who shouldn't eat more junk food - as was clearly shown in the BBC item: "Experts estimate that almost 25% of children in the EU are now obese. About 400,000 are becoming either obese or overweight every year."

You probably haven't seen this scary item yet, and wonder if you still can stomach it, because it doesn't matter if you eat burgers with 'Freedom'- or 'French fries': you also can get high with them.

''Even If Fast Food Is Not As Additive As Tobacco''-is the title* by the man who says concerning junkfood: 'It Still Merits A Health Warning': "But what if some obese people are actually victims of the type of food sold in fast-food outlets?  Absurd as it may sound, there is a growing body of evidence pointing in this direction.

We do understand some lyrics* by the 'Moody Blues' much better now, after the article above: when the group sings about "High as a kite if you want to" - they probably mean the effect of eating too many hamburgers...
