While I support all our veterans and the benefits promised them, God forgive us for letting people think that switching or following the flip side of the same coin to get into office will fix things. Our veterans should know better.

I want to see someone say, "I swore an Oath of Office to 'PRESERVE, PROTECT, and DEFEND the CONSTITUTION...' and will NOT adhere to party politics and demean that Oath."

Parties have been the destruction of our great Republic. Truth is the savior of it. Individual liberty and adherence to government protecting our unalienable rights and not "civil" or "human" rights, as the socialists espouse, are the only hope for the world.

We’ve heard about Iraq, terrorism, and security from every side. But there’s one group that we need to hear from the most, and in 2006 we will. All over America, veterans are running for Congress as Democrats. They’ve been there, they know the story, and it’s time to let them speak.

Band of Brothers is a new political organization formed to assist Democratic veterans running for elected office. We’ve already identified more than three dozen fighting men and women who need our help to challenge the current administration on its failed policies at home and abroad.

They are all strong, principled citizens who have had enough of the current direction of our country, and are ready to fight — as Democrats have always fought — for solutions to the problems of security, health care, and corporate and political corruption. Some have served in the current war in Iraq, some have served our country at other times. But each candidate supported by Band of Brothers must in turn support Our Values.

Separately, each of these veterans offers hope in one district — but together they are a new movement. As veterans who have fought for America, they will fight for us in Congress.

Mission 2006

This is the movement built on real American values, which cuts across partisan lines, and provides a real choice between a country that works for the few and one that creates opportunity for all.

This year, Band of Brothers will raise three million dollars to promote the message that America needs the voice of Democratic veterans in Congress. Our campaign will air national media spots designed to educate viewers on problems affecting both the veteran community and America as a whole — issues like national security, health care, and respectful, responsible use of our military.

Band of Brothers will recruit, train, and elect a new generation of veterans who can help return the Democrats to the majority in the House of Representatives.

We Need Your Input

We need your input, advice, and opinions. We have developed a short survey asking for your feedback on the questions you think we should ask our Band of Brothers. Please take a moment to fill it out. Your suggestions are vital to the success of this movement; we depend on them to best understand how to allocate our resources.
