(MONETARY AND ECONOMIC REVIEW receives so much flack for this column that my next two columns are rerected beginning with THE BEST JUSTICE DRUG MONEY CAN BUY. B.Q 3-2-96)

On May 7th the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee voted 19 to 0 to confirm Pamela Digby Harriman as ambassador to France. So overwhelming was her support on the Capitol Hill that a voice vote was all that was necessary in the full senate. The staff director of the Foreign Affairs Committee told me "I have not heard a single critical word about Mrs. Harriman. Everyone in Washington wants her."

In the last general election in France, the French people came dangerously close to saying NO to the next step toward the adoption of the Euro-dollar. Now, a world class arm twister has been positioned. Do not be confused by the appearance that ambassador is a lower station than president. Pamela will still run Bill Clinton. Members of the hidden elite have often taken lesser positions in government. Ambassadorships like this are a tradition. Often from positions like Under Secretary of State enormous fifedoms are ruled.

The silence of the news coverage of the Pamela Digby Harriman senate confirmation was deafening. There was no coverage. Even C-Span had "something of greater public interest" airing during the Harriman hearing.

I boldly stated last month that none of the Paul Wyrich propaganda trumpets, who have been hammering away at Bill Clinton, would utter a word against Pamela Harriman. It was a given that ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN would black out anything involving the financial elite. But what would keep Rush Limbaugh's mouth shut? Either every single person representing themselves on TV as a conservative leader was asleep at the wheel --- or my darkest suspicion is true. Could these persons, which most of us look up to as the generals of our cherished conservative causes, be in fact storm troops for the NEW WORLD ORDER? The evidence of this accumulates.

Before the major players in Wyrich's propaganda army are identified, let us look at Wyrich himself. The Hapsburgs would not think of visiting the United States without paying a visit to Wyrich. It was Wryich who first proposed Clarence Thomas for the Supreme Court. Wyrich's man was Boris Yeltsin's campaign manager. Wyrich owns Yeltsin. Paul Wyrich made 23 trips to the Eastern block nations to teach the democratic form of government --- just in case there should happen to be a spontaneous and unexpected collapse of communism.

Phyllis Schlafly, EAGLE FORUM, Reed Irvine, ACCURACY IN MEDIA, Dusty Rhodes, NATIONAL REVIEW, Brent Bozell, MEDIA REVIEW CENTER, Edwin Fuelner, Jr., HERITAGE FOUNDATION, Robert Godwin, WASHINGTON TIMES, Richard Viguerie, Somers White, Foster Friess, Oliver North, Coors family, Roland Hinz, Rush Limbaugh, Tim La Haye, Pat Robertson, Rich DeVoss, George Will, Jean Kirkpatrick, William Bennett, Robert Krieble, KRIEBLE INSTITUTE, Burton Yale Pines, Gary Hofmeister --- the list of the cannons in Wyrich's propaganda arsenal is endless. There are probably a thousand names not mentioned.

I am never more grateful then when someone shows me where I have been wrong. I obviously can not read everything so please help me with this. If any reader comes across a word any of these alleged "leaders of conservative causes" has uttered in opposition to the Harriman confirmation, please inform me through MER. I will be lavish in my apologies --- I will appear in any public forum to admit I was wrong --- I will proclaim the same on any radio or TV program a maligned party wishes.

Here is why I have come to regard this enormous Wyrich propaganda apparatus as sinister and probably emanating from Pamela Harriman or someone close to her. In April of 1987 I was writing for DAILY NEWS DIGEST which was always described by major media as "ultra conservative". Johnny Johnson was not only publisher of the DIGEST, but Johnny's organization, RESEARCH PUBLICATIONS, printed and processed the news letters for the nation's top 25 conservative writers. Johnny published Anthony Sutton's newsletter and many of Sutton's more controversial books, like HOW THE ORDER CREATES WAR AND REVOLUTION.

Johnny Johnson was the unquestioned leader of the conservative community in Arizona. Johnny was the purest conservative I have ever known --- much more so than Barry Goldwater and James Kirkpatrick --- whose guidance led me to Johnny. The impact of Johnny Johnson's work is being felt even today throughout the world.

What excited Johnny most was what he called "driving the news". After serving for more than 20 years as news director for the largest radio station in Arizona, Johnny was entrenched in the national news community. He literally knew everyone of consequence in the industry. Johnny would get great satisfaction when he could force the major networks and newspapers to pick up stories that the DIGEST had been first to break.

Johnny's biggest story was one he was unsuccessful in breaking --- try as hard as he did. Johnny was the one journalist in the world that did the most to publicize General Khun Sa's disclosure to Lt. Col. James Bo Gritz that the number 2 men at DOD and CIA, Richard Armatage and Ted Shackley, were the largest purchasers of heroin in the world!! This was a lesson for all.

Of the world class journalists, William Stevenson published the best article on what Johnny was calling "the federal government heroin scandal". Complete with photos of George Bush and General Richard Secord, this shocking expose appeared in the TORONTO SUN, 9/13/87 --- page C-6, under the banner headline, BANK OF INTRIGUE. The TORONTO SUN was major exposure for this forbidden subject, but still, every major TV network and newspaper in the country behaved as if they were unaware of what this nation's most decorated Green Beret was saying about our government at the highest levels being in the heroin business.

On the radio talk show circuit Bo Gritz was the hottest guest ever to storm the airwaves. Anthony Hilder, the first broadcaster to interview Bo Gritz after the Colonel's return to the U.S. from his second meeting with General Khun Sa, took a month's sabbatical to do nothing else but arrange radio interviews for Gritz. Hilder arranged 89 one to 4 hour interviews which were broadcast over 612 radio stations! I arranged the interview for the LARRY KING SHOW which at 12 million listeners was the largest single radio audience in the nation. Johnny and I both expected this to "drive the news". It didn't --- although this high profile is probably the only thing that kept the Colonel among the living.

Not helping matters one bit were Reed Irvine, editor of ACCURACY IN MEDIA and his right hand man, Schneider. The aforementioned William Stevenson article reported, "The Christian Broadcast Network (CBN) says media outlets were called by Armitage's lawyers and warned against running the story". Johnny found that soon after the attorney for Richard Armatage called the stations he was asking to run the Gritz story, Irvine and Schneider would call the same stations to say that the story should not be aired because it was not true. How convenient. Reed has a lot of nerve calling what he does ACCURACY IN MEDIA. What he does is CENSORSHIP IN MEDIA. Had he been interested in accuracy, he would have published the true account instead of being in the lead of those trying to kill the entire story.

At this time in 1987 both Johnny Johnson and his editor Lannon Stafford were among the 18 speakers that ACCURACY IN MEDIA paid to travel around the country to make speeches on behalf of AIM before conservative groups! Confronted with the duplicity of Irvine, Lannon Stafford confided in me that both he and Johnny had known for some time that Reed Irvine was fronting for CIA. They both felt as long as they could speak uncensored why not take the opportunities?

This is how fronts work. Only one or two at the top know of the secret agenda. Everyone else around this center is recruited from well meaning patriots like Lannon, Johnny and --- for that matter --- like me --- or perhaps like you. These Wyrich organizations consume whole lifetimes without going anywhere. (Betty Mills, 219-749-1478, who has been on to Wyrich for 15 years can attest to this).

Let us take Phyllis Schlafly as a second example. Her cause, abortion, is failing miserably right now for one reason and one reason only --- Bill Clinton and his crew have entered the White House. Who put Clinton in the White House? All those in the know have to admitt that Pamela Harriman was Clinton's most powerful backer. How can Phyllis put up such a fuss about Clinton and let his creator, Pamela Harriman, slip into an ambassadorship without so much as a single embarrassing question? It is permitted to criticize Clinton. It is forbidden to criticize Pamela Harriman.

The more the American public learns about Pamela, the less they will like her. Marital fidelity is a concept foreign to Pamela. Pamela was having sexual affairs with 50 year old men from the point when she reached puberty. Most of these men were billionaires. Twenty year old Pamela began her sexual flirtation with 50 year old Averill Harriman while she was married to the son of Winston C hurchill during World War II. Pretty patriotic --- huh? Randolph Churchill never recovered from the humiliation of this very out in the open affair and thereafter became a lifelong hopeless drunk.

The next husband was Leland Hayward, the Broadway producer renowned for SOUND OF MUSIC. In spite of his contributions to contemporary culture, Hayward left only a very modest estate to his children ---- and to his widow, Pamela. Born into great wealth, one would have thought Pamela content to see Hayward's children receive all of their father's lifetime savings. Instead, Pamela insisted on excluding the children and taking the whole estate herself!! Guess what? With her clout she succeeded.

Leland Hayward's two children through his second wife, Margaret Sullivan, saw Pamela Harriman as the quintessential evil. These children, Bill and Brooke Hayward, published the juicy 1977 best-seller about Pamela Harriman entitled HAYWIRE. A careful reading of HAYWIRE will confirm for every reader that the more the American public knows about Pamela the less they are going to like her. Readers will see, if anything, that I have been too kind in my descriptions of the woman who installed the president.

I believe exposure of the ruthless sexual politics alone would have been sufficient to knock Pamala out of consideration. The connections to BROWN BROTHERS HARRIMAN, George and Prescott Bush, SKULL AND BONES at Yale, the financing of the Nazi cartels and the rest would stir the populace to rage. This story is not too difficult to understand. All that is necessary is that it starts to be told.

That brings us back to why none of the faces seen on TV purporting to represent conservative causes uttered a word about Pamela when Pamela was most vulnerable. Is there any surer method to have one's way than to set up one's own operative to head a group one wishes to defeat? If you or anyone you know is giving money to the Wyrich groups mentioned, please --- STOP FEEDING THE ENEMY.
