Jim Marrs

As a native of Texas who grew up in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex, who graduated from North Texas State and worked as a reporter for the Denton Chronicle, Jim Marrs understood the people, history and politics which related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. As an award winning journalist with more than 25 years of news-gathering experience in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, Marrs has been in a unique situation to learn the true story of the assassination.

His best selling book Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy, read along with Jim Garrison's On The Trail of the Assassins, and Robert Groden's High Treason: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy, What Really Happened provides a comprehensive update of the known body of JFK research. Crossfire is so meticulously footnoted that essentially all credible theories are extracted from a body of literature which is enormously complex and presented with a clarity beyond the ability of other writers.

In the immediate aftermath of the assassination, Marrs spoke with the people most closely connected to the assassination including Dallas area government and law-enforcement officials and newsmen. He spent many hours with Marguerite Oswald (mother of the accused assassin) and with Jeanne De Mohrenschildt (whose husband George was described in Gerald Ford's book Portrait of the Assassin as "Oswalds best friend in Dallas"). He has interviewed assassination witnesses such as James Tagues, Jean Hill, Bill Newman, Ed Hoffman, Gordon Arnold and Madeline Brown.

Before the assassination Marrs interviewed General Edwin Walker and met Jack Ruby in the Carousel Club. Learn the story from someone who was there. Through his presentations on college campuses Jim Marrs seeks not only the killers of President Kennedy, he seeks the persons who murdered Camelo--- those who killed the confidence and faith of the American people in their government and institutions. He seeks elementary justice--for both the accused assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, and for the United States of America.

Jim Marrs is prepared to bring key witnesses from Dealey Plaza to your campus to augment his presentation.
