IS THIS FAREWELL AMERICA?

2130 words Ye of weak faith, read no further. --------- Please consider the words of Arnold Toynbee, the eminent British historian and friend of the UNITED STATES, as quoted in the NEW YORK TIMES of May 7, 1971: "To most Europeans, I guess, America now looks like the most dangerous country in the world. Since America is unquestionably the most powerful country, the transformation of America's image within the last 30 years is very frightening for Europeans. It is probably still more frightening for the great majority of the human race who are neither European nor North Americans, but are Latin Americans, Asians, and Africans. They, I imagine, feel even more insecure than we feel. They feel that, at any moment, America may intervene in their internal affairs, with the same appalling consequences as have followed from the American intervention in Southeast Asia. For the world as a whole, the CIA has now become the bogey that communism has been for America. Wherever there is trouble, violence, suffering, tragedy, the rest of us are now quick to suspect the CIA had a hand in it. In fact, the roles of America and Russia have been reversed in the world's eyes. Today America has become the nightmare." One cannot help but perceive the parallels between the American empire of this day and the Roman empire of the New Testament. Was Jesus crucified for standing up to the government of his day? Mass crucifixions were the practice of Rome --- as many as 3,000 in a single day. That ended with the crucifixion of Christ. Humanity by a quantum leap became more human and less barbaric. It is no secret to the American public that the CIA since its inception has considered itself above the law. It was since its beginning "the lie of the president". The president would say "We are not doing this or that" and then would turn to his DCI and say "Do it and don't get caught". Buying elections, overturning governments, assassinating heads of state --- these activities have been no secret to the American public. The American public therefore cannot escape the guilt of this. For the most part, Americans have gone along because of the mistaken belief that they were somehow being cut in on the loot of these crimes. But one of the many moral disadvantages of such license is obvious --- there is really no conceptual division between assassinating foreign heads of state and murdering leaders in our own country. Now, run away out of control federal agencies are not only serving no knock warrants, breaking down the doors of citizens with battering rams, (and last year conficating more than 800 million dollars of private property), but escalating to the level of bringing Abrams armored tanks to bare upon its citizens. It is all too apparent that the public may be close to being forever powerless to pull in the reins. In contradiction to the facts, most Americans think of themselves as moral and upstanding. After the deportation of Lucky Luciano, Meyer Lansky became the Capo de Capo of American organized crime. In the Francis Ford Capola movie GODFATHER II, Hyman Roth is the thinly disguised characterization of Lansky. Lansky is noted for many insightful utterances. "Michael, we are bigger than U.S. STEEL". This Capola line was taken word for word from an FBI wire tap on Lansky. I am particularly haunted with another Lansky quote which is particularly appropriate to this discussion. Lansky is reported to have offered this wisdom to his niece; "Twenty five percent of us are good. Seventy five percent of us are bad. That is a fight three against one. Which side do you want to be on?" Television presents an altogether different perception of public morality. But television is tailor made for lying. Desert Storm was not a defence of freedom for the Kuwaitis but a George Bush\Saddam Hussein plot to maintain high oil prices in the face of a market glut. And since when were those who rule America concerned about world hunger? For the financial elite, poverty and war are necessary and desirable because more is consumed in one day of war than in an entire year of peace. From the business standpoint, war is the ultimate consumer and the politics of hunger is just another weapon of war. Before the devastation of the Vietnam War, 80% of the world's rice was grown in Southeast Asia. After all the Agent Orange treatment, prime rice lands the size of Connecticut were forever removed from human cultivation!! Now 80% of the world's rice is grown in Mississippi and Louisiana --- primarily by ARTHUR DANIEL MIDLAND. While this premeditated atrocity precipitates unparalleled catastrophe for the starving masses of the world, most Americans continue to perceive their government as the "good guys" in Somalia. TV presents nothing but this viewpoint. On television the personalities who read the news are no different than the actors who create the dramas. Radio is not much different. Talk show hosts are weaned on lying by the financial rewards they receive for prostitution ads. One day they are saying that ABC Reality is the best in the world and the next day XYZ Reality is the best. It is all Pavlovian. Soon they have lost their moral compass. That makes them ready for promotion. Multitudes are deceived by the sincere expressions on the faces of their news anchors. Little do they realize that the skills needed for this job do not require the anchors to understand the words they are uttering. The ability to read from a monitor, while executing the head tilts, smiles, blinks and intonations, is all that is needed for this job. This makes such personalities putty in the hands of those who own the networks. And who owns the TV networks and newspaper syndicates? Dan Rather and Ted Kopel will never tell. Such key essential information is not news. I am profoundly ashamed that the American public tolerates the present ownership of the mass media. GENERAL ELECTRIC, the world's largest defence contractor possesses the controlling interest in NBC ("We Bring Good Things To Death" would be a more appropriate slogan). The controlling interest in ABC is now in the hands of the heirs of William Casey, former Director of CIA, the founder and largest stock holder of CAPITOL CITIES, (parent company of ABC). How could the American public allow the head of the secret police this unparalleled propaganda instrument? ("More Americans Get Their Lies From ABC Then From Any Other Source") CHASE MANHATTAN BANK holds the controlling interest in CBS. (How about "You've Got A Big Brother At The CHASE MANHATTAN"?) I am amazed at the number of Americans who believe that they can become informed by watching TV. They think that they can "watch between the lines." Truly the Devil now owns the air waves. An intelligent person can discern when they being fed lies. The truth however is not there to be found. The Waco Siege is a case in point. There the truth was not to be found on television or in the newspapers. I have learned that I can pick up the telephone and reach almost anyone in the world. Even so, the Waco Siege presented an unusual challenge. On this subject unreliable information was pumped by well meaning citizens through make shift underground networks while above ground sources were worthless. If they were for real, we as a nation would have little to fear. Highly financed, supurbly well organized and armed with the information concerning Pamela Harriman that has been published in the MONETARY AND ECONOMIC REVIEW, this group could not fail to turn this country around --- if only they were what they purport to be. Next month Pamela Harriman will be up for senate confirmation for ambassidor to France --- which means she will be a briefly exposed target. The April 26, 1993 issue of PEOPLE MAGAZINE carried a remarkably good article on Pamela Harriman which covered material MER has been publishing since November --- ie Pamela created the Bill Clinton presidency and her sexual affairs with many billionaires. That is half the story. The other half --- involving Averill Harriman, Prescott Bush, BROWN BROTHERS HARRIMAN, MORGAN TRUST, George Bush, the Skull and Bones Society at Yale, the financing of the Nazis and the Bolschivics remains to be told. A close look at Pamela could reveal all this. Readers of this column may wonder how I consistently derive what all other media fail to deliver.
