HE DIDN'T LOSE, he had a plan

He didn't lose, he had a plan. If he is in Syria as claimed by DEBKAfile,
he has essentially won. He is free and the world is still debating the
Iraqi issue. The Arab world; that is, the Arab masses, are firmly behind
Saddam Hussein. He confronted the American Goliath and he was not
defeated. He left.......

DEBKAfile says: Saddam and his sons are in Syria. They are at the coastal
town of Latakiya called Cote /d'Azur De Cham Resort in a luxury resort
with 600 meters of private beach. (April 5, 2003)

They say that Saddam and his top echelon have been there since March 23,
(4 days after the US-led coalition invaded Iraq). They are being guarded
by a "Syrian commando unit armed with anti-air missiles while Syrian naval
missile boats secure the port."

DEBKAfile also says, "Saddam and the senior members of his family
are no longer at the helm of government. Iraq is undoubtedly in the
process of regime change, the main objective of the Iraq War.
.......The new ruling caste may be divided between a faction
negotiating terms of surrender with the Americans and a second, which
is determined to fight on..."

Other leaders have been returned to power and American presidents only
last 8 years and sometimes four years. If no WMD is found, the U.S. will
still be remembered as the super-power that used WMD against Muslims, and
invaded a country of children -- and if they get caught fabricating a
situation the world will see Bush as the pariah and not Saddam. In any
case the Arab and Muslim masses will continue to accuse America of
conducting a "Crusade" and an unprovoked aggression. This is a gift to
Osama bin Laden and Saddam will continue to be viewed as a hero and will
have secured his cherished place of honor in Islamic and Arab history.
