America in Crisis: Cycle of Freedom

South Carolina Congressman Jame's Warren Demint often displays "The Cycle of Freedom" a circular chart which he devised around the ideas of Sir Alex Fraser Tytler, a nineteenth century Scottish historian. Tytler asserted that great civilizations run in 200 year cycles. Taking the same path to the top, beginning and ending with "Bondage." Going clockwise the cycles are: Bondage, Spiritual Faith, Great Courage, Liberty, Abundance, Selfishness, Complacency, Apathy, Dependency. There is ample evidence that the USA is precariously close to an economic collapse due to concentrated wealth and power in the hands of an elite few.
It is clearly evident that the Government by the People is no longer for the People. Representative democracy must be replaced with direct democracy. Former Alaskan Senator Mike Gravel is courageously doing his best to return the power of government to We the People. I urge all concerned U.S. Citizens and our brothers and sisters of our global community to visit www.ni4d.us
In supporting this noble effort we must also realize that our ruling elite will do everything possible to insure that they remain in power. This includes starting a never ending global war on terrorism. Wake up America and start breaking the cycle. We may not be able to but at least we can change our response to a worse case scenario. In the event of a national economic collapse there will be a complete breakdown of the social order, mass panic, looting, famine, martial law, police state and an end to freedom and democracy which has been nothing more than an illusion. At any given time it will be snatched away and power once it has been seized is not given up.
