I agree 100% with Rabbi Scheidt.
Colin Powell has no sense of shame. He most certainly should
have resigned when he first realized he had been sent on a
fool's errand to the United Nations - an errand that has
resulted in the deaths of about 100,000 innocent and
brave-hearted Iraqis.
In the case of Powell, it is more than arrogance. As a youngster
Powell grew up in the Bronx under the influence of Ashkenazi
Khazar Jews who gave him his first job at a furniture store
where he picked up some Yiddish. So when he says that despite
gross violations of constitutional and international law and a
basic disregard of the truth and the judgment of the United
Nations, he's "glad that Saddam Hussein is gone," Powell is
reflecting the prejudices of the Zionist environment that
sustained him as a youth.
Also, when Powell gives a speech he pulls in in an hour more
than most Americans earn in a year! That would swell
most people's heads. The color of money elicits the expected
response, not always the right response.
What can we as Americans say and do in the face of gross
disregard for the law, the truth and the decent opinion of
mankind on the part of our own leaders?
Rabbi Scheidt is focused on important issues that ought not be
taken lightly. (And by the way, I am the one who began calling
Bob Scheidt Rabbi Scheidt. I do it because Rabbi means "Teacher"
and that is what the man is all about as I have discovered from
reading his thought- provoking and compelling articles on this
APFN website message board.)
We ignore these issues at our own peril!
