Many of the so called news sites have adopted the
Orwell-ian practice "updating" past news stories to
reflect the "changing face-of-truth". The picture it
self is an AP news wire photo, and two days ago,
was available on many news web sites. The Washington
post is one of the last still showing the image.
Levees in New Orleans are designed to keep water several feet higher than the city, which rests below sea level. As levee walls have been breached, water is pooling in without an outlet. About 80 percent of the Crescent City is submerged.
BTW thanks for the cross section of posts from your
discussion group. I'm glad to find that at least some of them
see the same invisible hand of contrived coincidence...
One last thought to ponder. Anybody seen a picture
of a wrecked gulf coast oil refinery? I sure haven't,
and I've gone looking.
