Generalized misery, possible starvation in some areas of the States, martial law with Federal troops killing civilians on a daily basis, civilian police run amuck in the streets, jails and prisons packed to inhuman conditions, dangerously overcrowded hospitals, triage practiced on the blacktop of hospital parking lots filled with victims, a catastrophic collapse of the economy, Americans attempting to exit the U.S.A. by the hundreds of thousands, border guards, police and military blocking any escape by Americans to Mexico or Canada, F.B.I., Coast Guard and the Air Force apprehending and shooting down Americans attempting to escape the country, government agents/officials in hiding, fearful of being assassinated by other government agents/officials, China, taking advantage of the distracted U.S. Federal Government®, would move into the Middle-East, en masse, to control the oil – these would be the conditions in the wake of a terrorist jihad; "A Day of Havoc" indeed.

In a study published in 1974, “Social Movements: Between the Balcony and the Barricade” the authors state that just 200 committed people could shut down every state in the union. The entire economic system of the United States would be paralyzed. Imagine what two-thousand suicidal Moslems could do.
