The War Against Cindy

I have a 25 year old son and a daughter about to turn 19. I haven't lost either one of them to the war and neither are enlisted, THANK GOD, but I do realize that they are both of the age to be drafted. I also know that the military services have not been able to meet their "quota" for enlistments. So much so, that they have now lowered themselves, even further, to using nasty tactics to recruit.
I support Cindy Sheehan in her effort to bring our young men and women home and to stop this war, not only to save their lives and the lives of innocence in Iraq, but also because I'm not naive enough to think that I'm not and won't be effected by this war. I can see that if this continues, a draft is very possible and most likely. My son and my daughter both could be called to serve in this...so called..."War on Terrorism"!!! I didn't support this war from the onset and I still don't.
To die for your country might be an honorable thing to do, when your country is in immediate danger, but not when you're not honored by your country!!! None of the men and women that gave their lives for this country have been honored by their country and George Bush is proving that by not giving even a moment of his time to Cindy Sheehan and the other families with losses.
We had soldiers in every branch of the military that "fought for our country" during the Vietnam war. It was an "honorable" thing for them to do, but if you remember, when the fortunate ones returned...standing...not in wooden boxes...they were spat on!!! They were far less than honored by our country!!! They were treated as criminals. As one of the signs I saw at Camp Casey said...."IRAQ=ARABIC FOR VIETNAM"!!! Honor is in the giving and support of life, not in the taking of it and George Bush has taken enough lives in this WAR OF LIES on BOTH SIDES!!
You may want to give some serious thought to this, especially if you have sons and/or daughters that are/will be old enough to be drafted, if you can't think about it for those that have already lost sons and daughters.
By the way, for those that orchestrated this war, that thinks/believes it's so honorable to die for your country, where are their sons and daughters??? I'm sure they're tucked away nice and neat attending a university of choice or out of the country....NOT IN IRAQ OR APHGANISTAN FOR THAT MATTER!!!!!!!
