Camp Casey coordinator Ann Wright has issued an appeal.
The van that has been used recently to accomodate media
interviews is being called out of service and there is
now an immediate need for a replacement. Anyone
interested in loaning or providing such a van for use by
Sheehan should call Wright at 808-741-1141. She
explained that this need is somewhat urgent.

A press conference was just held. Cindy Sheehan was not
present, but speaking were Mimi Evans and Medea Benjamin
of CodePink and DeDe Miller, Sheehan's sister.
They are calling on a campaign of mothers everywhere to
write to Laura Bush and encourage her to influence her
husband to end the war. They really aren't anxious for
the Bush daughters to go to war. They don't want anyone
to go to war, they said.
This afternoon, there will be a meeting at 4 o'clock to
write letters. At 5 p.m., the group will read letters
that people have written, and at 5:30 p.m., Sheehan's
sister, DeDe Miller, will lead a peaceful march to
attempt to deliver the letters up the road to Laura
Bush.
Last night (about 1 a.m.), an unidentified man showed up
at the camp pretending to be newly arrived, which isn't
unusual. He was met by Cindy Sheehan's private security
people, Patrick Miller from southeast Kansas and Dave
Jensen from Tyler, Texas. The man said he worked for Jeb
Bush and told Diane Wilson, a camp coordinator, that he
could have her arrested anytime he wanted. He indicated,
said Wilson, that he knew Secret Service men that
happened to drive by.
Tammara Rosenleas, whose husband is now at Ft. Hood and
is expected to deploy within a year, said she knew
immediately something was amiss. An attorney from
Louisiana chased the man down the road. The man left his
car when chased. The car was towed and, according to
camp sources, the man is now apparently in custody.
Sheehan's security personnel praised the law enforcement
officers for their prompt attention to this matter and
their patience during the entire stay at Camp Casey.
