Cindy Sheehan, the Gentle Giant

by: Jerry Ouch Stolarski

On 08-11-05 I had read some articles about Cindy Sheehan on the Internet and that evening on the CBS evening news we saw Cindy waiting to talk to Bush. That never happened. The next small piece (and I mean small) footage showed the disgusting attempt of Bush trying to lighten the hearts of the nation with some more of his lower brain thinking in an attempt to gain & maintain popularity with no regards to any of the distorted and devastated war torn families. IF, Bush had been a man of honor, integrity, honesty, compassion and forthright and felt the pain Cindy and all other parents of loved ones lost to deceit and lies were feeling, he would have taken ten minutes out of his busy plans of scheming, warmongering, greedy oil grabbing (vacation) usual day of business, to talk her. Bush may have gained an infinitesimal portion of his lost followers. Will pray that never happens.

A smart crook would have done that much.

After watching that sickening event on the news we realized that we had seen Cindy once before on a CNN live coverage about the Downing Street memos with Honorable John Conyers. We felt her pain, but what could we do.

Friday, 08-12-05 we ran around trying to get T-shirts made and a memorial plague for Casey Sheehan.

On the morning of 08-13-05 at 6:00 AM Cindy and I (Jerry) left Wharton, Texas to drive 50 miles to Bellville, Texas to meet with my Dad and sister (Lil). From there the four of us would travel 150 miles to an event that for us was way out in left field. I have never voted for the fact JFK was dead and i have never liked anyone of either party or their running mates. So tell me, really in that case how would one vote. Sure someone would say, "Vote for the lesser of both evils." I didn't want to vote for any evil. Anyway, we were headed for Crawford, Texas to meet a Gentle Giant by the name of Cindy Sheehan.

Arriving at Crawford at about 12:00 noon we went straight over to the park where approximately 1000 supporters were gathered for a Cindy Sheehan, Bring the Troops Home Rally. Walking from the parking lot to where the crowd had gathered, I started to feel an energy that in my 49 years I had never felt. It was a positive, peaceful and spiritual feeling energy that ran through me like electricity.

We stood and listened to guests and speakers. There were speakers that had lost loved ones in Iraq, Iraq veterans and supportive speakers for, "Bring the Troops Home." There were absolutely no one that had any derogatory, hateful or slanderous statements towards Bush & Co. There were no screaming or yelling. It was peaceful yet highly energetic.

Two Iraq veterans talking about their experiences in Iraq. One started crying when talking about the homes destroyed and innocent people killed. The war in Iraq needs to stop and the troops need to come home.

I had found out that the rally was about to end so we walked quickly back to the car so we could get to Camp Casey a head of the crowd. We found Cindy sitting under the shade of a tree staying cool while waiting for the Bushite Caravan to come back through. We walked over to meet Cindy and present her with the memorial plague in honor of and her son Casey.

The Plague Read.

In Memory of Casey Sheehan

Born in America 05-29-1979
Killed in Action IRAQ - 04-04-2004

"The patriotic street parade and the crosses row on row in
Arlington & Flanders Field, where dead bodies of the youth are buried, are of false sentiment used to glorify STUPIDITY."

Cindy tried to read the plague to the press but was over taken with emotion and tears so Cindy Rice read it aloud for her. Cindy finally regained her composer, thanked us, and gave us a very warm and sincere hug.

As Cindy was getting ready for the Bushite Caravan and her speech that would follow we mingled with the crowd. The attitude and the disposition of the crowd here at Camp Casey which by now was far greater than it was at the park rally inspite of the heat, was the same as it was at the rally.

There were a few Bush supporters with their, "Lets run down Cindy signs," but they sat quietly and never said a word.

Im sorry that some one of opposition apparently did not have enough like minded followers to create their own rally else where had to make a showing at Cindys camp in a disrespectful attempt to draw attention to themselves.

That's not say these people werent booed, jeered or heckled under breath. Im sure they might have been. I will guarantee you these sounds were not audible from Cindy & Company. That's not to say that these people werent sticking the knife of selflessness in and twisting, that was evedent. However, through it all Cindy remained a lady.

America over the last four decades has been destroyed by the selfish activities of the lower brain-thinking primates. Ladies if you have children and those of you planning on children in the future take your positions behind the Cindy Sheehans, take a stand and say, Enough is Enough.

In my 49 years I have only seen two women with the courage, honor, integrity, drive, staying power and compassion to run for presidency, Rosa Parks and Cindy Sheehan. It is time for a lady president. IT IS TIME FOR A WOMAN TO RUN THIS COUNTRY!

"A frame six foot tall with a spirit taller than the WTC towers!"
Cindy Sheehan - The Gentle Giant

I know she probably wont accept.

Cindy will you run in 2008?
