A Call to Action: Host a Film Party Week

This week, we are asking for volunteers to try to get new viewers for the DVD, 'Confronting the Evidence: A Call to Reopen the 9/11 Investigation.' Due to the complexity of the issue most people find showing the film a good way to break the ice.

Purpose: The purpose of the film party is to expand awareness, gather signatures, and recruit new volunteers. Invite some friends over and ask them to bring friends. You can watch "Confronting the Evidence" or one of our other educational DVD's for sale on our website. We suggest you host a discussion following the film.

Petition: If you wish, you can download a copy of the Reopen the 9/11 Investigation� petition at: http://reopen911.org/links.htm. Once each page is filled, you can FAX the pages to: 877-572-6724.

Party Plan for ReOpen911.org:

Prepare yourself before the event! The more you plan, the calmer and more relaxed you will be, and the better the event will turn out. Set some time aside after all the plans are made to collect and center yourself. It's always a great idea to recruit a friend as an official helper during the party. This will help take some of the pressure off you and help tend to your guests. Remember, something will always go wrong--Don't sweat it.

Greeting Time:

Try to make sure that everyone is comfortable, has snacks and beverages and is ready for the presentation.

Before the Video:

You may want to start with a prayer or moment of silence to focus people together. Ask them to be open to what they are about to see. Remind people that we will all need to work together to prevent further tragedies.

After the Video:

Following the presentation, host a Questions and Answer session. Remember to stay open to different points of view--you are the leader and everyone will look towards you. Remind people that it's a free country and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Your actions are help getting the message out! Please tune in an listen to William Rodriguez the Nation hero whom single-handedly rescued fifteen (15) persons from the WTC and as Rodriguez was the only person at the site with the master key to the North Tower stairwells, he bravely led firefighters up the stairwell, unlocking doors as they ascended, thereby aiding in the successful evacuation of unknown hundreds of those who survived. Rodriguez, at great risk to his own life, re-entered the Towers three times after the first, North Tower impact at about 8:46 A.M., and is believed to be the last person to exit the North Tower alive, surviving the building's collapse by diving beneath a fire truck.
