We will meet as a seminar for classes that will be mostly discussion and sometimes lecture, and in which the readings and other course material will provide the basis for a series of short writing assignments as well as discussion. Each student will also prepare a longer paper on a topic of his or her choice, in consultation with and approved by me. Course Requirements 5 300-500 word papers based on the reading assignments 1 3000-4000 word paper based on a topic shaped and approved by student and me.
