As I pulled into my favorite gas station today, a little place called Gas n'Go
which has the lowest prices in town, the first thing I was greeted by was a
sign on the pump showing me that there had been ANOTHER 10 cent price hike in
gas since I had gone in the previous time. Of course this is on top of about
100 other price hikes in the past two years, all courtesy of our friends in
the oil industry. However, this seems to have little or no effect on the
Average American Driver, who no matter HOW HIGH the price seems to go, they
just go happily along in their SUV, Hummer, or whatever their vehicle of
choice may be. It seems as though as long as they can just put it on their
card, or make a monthly payment on it, they don't seem to get too upset, or
even notice how badly they are getting SCREWED!
Of course this is all part of America in 2005, where making outrageous monthly
payments on things they will never really own is a way of life. I think we hit
rock bottom with a little thing called 'Interest Only Loans', where people
make a down payment on a home, and for the first five years they just make
payments on the interest. That's like renting an apartment, except you have to
pay real estate taxes and the expenses of home ownership on top of it! But
hey, why think about it? Dumb as dirt Americans can't seem to handle the harsh
realities of all this, and go into a state of denial when they're getting
screwed. Yes, the oil companies are just one in a long list of bandits
responsible for the screwing of the American people. Of course the media and
political establishment, who in league with the Federal Reserve and the credit
card companies, are responsible for training and encouraging you to live in
debt (to them), and are therefore at the top of the list. One of the benefits
(to them) of all of this is to make you a slave of the monthly payment system,
which is a great way for them to get rich off of you, while you're left trying
to make the next payment, or risk losing everything.
But getting back to the oil companies, these are happy days for them, with the
BILLIONS of dollars in profits they are raking in. In case you don't remember,
one of the objectives behind the Iraq war was lower gas prices. However, one
of the ACTUAL motives (along with many others that are equally as devious) was
to eliminate Saddam Hussein because he was undercutting OPEC by selling oil
below their set price. So when they got rid of him, there was no more
competition, and viola! Higher Gas Prices! It was all about monopoly power,
and corporate profits. Of course, their politician chums also get some crumbs
off of the table in the form of "contributions" every time they manage to
squeeze another BILLION dollars out of us.
The press is owned by the same people who run the oil companies. They are paid
quite well to put out excuses, diversionary stories, and lies. The economy is
bad enough with high unemployment (worse than they're telling you), and all of
the decent blue collar jobs that have either been shipped overseas, or taken
by illegal aliens who will work for less. The hapless Americans, if they can
get any job at all, will soon be pumping gas for $7 an hour for the same
companies that have decided it's a great time to screw the American public.
The people who once beat the drums for the Iraq war are paying upwards of $3
for a gallon of gas that was under $1 a gallon just a few short years ago.
Unfortunately we live in a country where most people are so used to comfort
that the thought of cutting back on driving, and walking or riding a bike is
out of the question. But believe me, if there was ANY significant sustained
drop in oil consumption in the U.S., those greedy globalists who are behind
all of this would get the message VERY QUICKLY! You would then see a
SIGNIFICANT DROP in the price. The people would have spoken, and they would
have regained some self determination and control, something the powers that
be dread. But I just don't see the spirit of independence in America today. I
suppose you'll hear some complaints, and the media will tiptoe around the
obvious fact that this is a HUGE screw job on America. Similar to when the
House and Senate tossed what few bits were left of the constitution into the
shredder and rammed through the grossly unamerican "Patriot Act". Of course it
all started with 9-11, and since then, even more than before, most Americans
just sheepishly accept these injustices. Just another one in a long line. The
DC gangsters, the oil industry bandits, and the hidden elite sitting in their
castles in Europe, are all getting their cut of the action. So forget about
the disaster in Iraq, forget about the $3 a gallon gas, forget about the
illegals flooding over the border, forget about the detention camps, forget
about the lies and deceit that got us here, and go home and watch some TV or
something, so that they can dance in their newest piles of money in peace.
