A new group is forming in the wake of the Minuteman success and will patrol the desert south of the Phoenix Metro Area. Ron Mills of the now forming Arizona Patriots has already started taking applications for anyone wanting to join this group. Mills is a Minuteman and wants to continue the diligent act of watching our country, but feels that looking out for those who successfully squeezed past the Border security forces would help bolster the good efforts of the men and women on the border.

Mills indicates that he is looking for law abiding citizens who want to help secure their state and country. “The number one prerequisite at this point is all applicants must have a CCW (permit to carry a concealed weapon), This shows that they have gone through a background investigation and the State of Arizona has determined that they can be trusted to carry a weapon”. Mills indicates this is not the only requirement but if the State of Arizona stands behind them, then he will consider them for membership. Mills is asking for anybody of any race or gender but states that anyone with law enforcement or Military background will get preferential consideration for membership; he further states that he would like to encourage anyone with emergency medical experience to apply.
