Schiavo: The Death Sentence from Whittemore

"I think you'd be hard-pressed to convince me that you have a substantial likelihood of the parents' lawsuit succeeding," said U.S. District Judge James Whittemore," according to Vickie Chachere of the Associated Press.

Does it take a PhD to figure that to be the crucial, macabre death sentence? It spears as if the judge has spoken. He's stated the sentence.

If reality reigns this Monday evening, it would seem as if the judge is concluding to let Terri Schiavo die. His stalling appears to be purposeful.

"Attorney David Gibbs III, speaking on behalf of Terri, stood before the judge and uttered six words that summed up the intensity of the legal cliffhanger surrounding Terri Schiavo: Terri may die as I speak."

That appeal did not set well with the judge, apparently. Though valiant efforts have culminated this Palm Sunday weekend in both Congress and the President in seeking life for the 41-year-old, it appears as if once again America bows to one particular judge.

It's becoming a worn and wearisome tale, true? So-called "activist judges" are enjoying ruling the nation. I don't like such oblique terms as "activist." I call them "immoral judges." They usually end up on the side of the biblically unethical, hence the tag "immoral."

It's like calling murderers global "insurgents." It's also like calling killing womb babies "abortion." I don't go for the gloss over terms.

I don't call an insurgent an "insurgent;" instead he or she is just as he or she is ' a killer, a slayer, a slaughterer, a murderer. An abortionist is not so much an "abortionist" as a mortal who scrapes out or scalds out or uses whatever means to do away with a real live baby inside a female body, hence the term "womb baby killer."

Therefore, with Whittemore I fear the worst. It just could be that he's one of those ubiquitous immoral judges who will permit a woman to die as the rest of us watch, helpless.
