Zakheim and Flight 77 and the Sabre 45
that probably hit the Pentagon (??)

"Sabre 45" is a variant of the F-100 "Super Sabre",
the first supersonic jet fighter: I remember
seeing them parked at L.A. International
where I grew up as a child, right next to
the future north runway there.
And, I built the Revell plastic model
when I was model builder, and suspended
it from the ceiling in my bedroom,
right over my bed, so I know the general
shape of the fuselage, and the unique
intake scoop at the nose. Revell was
scrupulous about selling exact scale
models of such famous aircraft.
Since it was THE first supersonic jet fighter,
everyone in Los Angeles was talking about it,
and sharing their impressions about it as
squadrons would break the sound barrier all
over the L.A. basin. They would take off
in formations of 3 and 4 together, then
hit their after burners just after lift-off.
These were unforgettable experiences.
My parents would take me for a ride to see them
parked next to Aviation Boulevard, before LAX
was built.

The photo in the above link is NOT a "Sabre 45",
and the wingspan of the plane in that photo
is far too short to explain the damages
to the exterior facade of the Pentagon,
before the roof collapsed.
Also, I would caution anyone against accessing
the website of Systems Planning Corporation:
my modem lights started to go wild when I
clicked on that URL, indicating possible spyware.
I aborted the file transfer sequence.
Forewarned is fore-armed.
Sincerely yours,
