point of view...you don't introduce new products in August.”

Put Impeachment on the Ballot in Your Town
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
" T Lee Buyea Fla News Service "
All the News the Government Controlled News Media Won't Give You
!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
( If Nothing Else It Will Improve the Turn Out Of Democrats at
the
November Election)
Pass This On
While a lot of towns and cities have passed or tried to pass
pro-impeachment resolutions, only one so far has put the
question of
impeachment on the ballot for voters to address in November -
Berkeley
CA.
It may not be too late to ask your town or city to place
impeachment on the ballot. Some local governments may be more
willing to
do that than they are to pass a resolution themselves. Some
media
outlets may also find it more interesting. And it's good for our
democracy:
it's bound to boost turnout at the polls. Here's information on
how
you can do it:

On the Fourth, Read the Declaration of Impeachment
By David Swanson
Veterans for Peace has drafted a Declaration of Impeachment
using
nothing but excerpts from the Declaration of Independence (plus
a few
words in parentheses). It reads as follows, and should be read
at
picnics and protests on the Fourth of July:

Media Impact Trainings
The Center for Progressive Leadership Action Network will be
conducting
Media Impact trainings at house parties across the country on

learn about earned media strategy from experts in the field;
will be
given a chance to practive the skills that they learn; and will
be able
to network with like-minded progressive from their area. But
these great
trainings can't take place without a host, so we're asking
progressives
across the country help us make this happen by volunteering to
host a
house party. It's fun and easy - CPL Action Network staff will
provide
all the training and resources you need, as well as tips on
having a
succesful evening. To to learn more about this
training and apply to be a host, visit

Support Suzanne Swift
Suzanne Swift completed a tour of duty in Iraq, where she was
sexually
harassed and assaulted. Her efforts to report her treatment were
met
with disrespect and dismissed.
When her unit was to be deployed to Iraq a second time, the
21-year-old Specialist Four Military Police Officer, who was
being
treated for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, realized she could
not
return to Iraq and resume her duties in the same unit with the
same
commanding officer who had sexually assaulted her. Swift
remained in
Eugene, Ore., for several months. On June 11, 2006, the Eugene
Police
Department responded to a request by Ft. Lewis officials to pick
Swift
up and take her to jail, where she spent two nights before being
returned to Ft. Lewis. At Ft. Lewis, she was at first confined
to her
barracks, with the same sergeant who sexually assaulted her, and
is now
confined to the base. The army is investigating her case.
Because of the
way Suzanne was treated while serving her country, Swift, her
lawyer,
and her family are calling for an Honorable Discharge
with full medical and veterans' benefits.

Spying
Please take the time to Thank or, if necessary, Spank your
Representative for their June 20 vote on the Schiff-Inslee
amendment to
force NSA compliance with FISA (the Foreign Intelligence
Surveillance

domestic
surveillance that is not in compliance with FISA. The vote total
was 207
in favor, 219 opposed. Here's how your Representative voted:

Thank Congressmen Ron Paul and Walter Jones for Speaking Truth
Watch this video and see two Republican Congress Members, Ron
Paul and
Walter Jones, provide a stunningly honest critique of the war,
and
demand an end to it. Rep. Jones stresses the importance of the
White
House Memo that AfterDowningStreet promoted.

Thank these men for speaking truth to power. And, just as
importantly,
ask them to take the step that matches their words: ask them to
co-sponsor H. Res. 635, which would create a select committee to
investigate the Administration's intent to go to war before
congressional authorization, its manipulation of pre-war
intelligence,
encouraging and countenancing torture, and retaliating against
critics.

Walter
Jones in person and ask him to sign on to H. Res 635, contact

Happy Bring Em On Day
It's July 3, 2006, the third anniversary of our Unitary
Executive
taunting Iraqis with the brilliant remark: Bring 'em On! Let's
assume he
was referring to articles of impeachment and war crimes charges.
Let's
bring those on. Have a productive Bring Em On Day!
