On Veterans Radio this Saturday Morning

26 May 2007

0900hrs Eastern

A Time to Remember Our Friends and Fellow Veterans We Have Lost.

Memorial Day is also a great time to recall and record the living histories of those who served.

Our guests will include Colonel Bob Patrick, U.S. Army retired, director of the Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress. Mr. Patrick oversees the national grassroots campaign for the Project and directs the building of national partnerships with organizations including veterans' service organizations, libraries, historical societies, museums, professional associations, universities and high school classrooms.

And YOU ! We at Veterans Radio want to honor the ordinary American hero who did his job, but didn't make it home. Who was the most courageous person you ever served with? We want to hear their story. Contact us with your American Hero story or call us this Saturday morning at 877-573-7825.

We must never forget those who paid the ultimate price. If we don't tell and preserve their stories they will be lost forever.

Don't miss Veterans Radio Saturday mornings at 9 am eastern on WMAX (1440 AM, Saginaw, MI), WDEO (990 am, Ann Arbor/Detroit, MI), WDEO-FM (99.5 FM, Naples, FL) or on the Internet at

Because of the failure of Congress to fully fund
Veterans health care. Because of the adversarial attitude
of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
And because of the inability of the VA to safegaurd the
personal records of our Veterans: The Firebase Network
advises anyone considering enlisting in the Military to be
fully aware of the risks and the hardships involved not
only in serving your country, but in afterwards trying to get
benefits earned as a Veteran.
